Initially an online webcomic on sites like Tapas, HeartStopper has a vast online fanbase of over 50 million views, not counting the numerous new fans who are relishing in the new Netflix adaptation of the series, all from the power of crowdfunding. I will write up individual posts for each volume, so stay tuned for Vols 2 -4! There are spoilers ahead, so if you haven’t read the books, go away and do so before coming back. efr

A Review of: Spirit Sight, Last of the Gifted; Book One

Spirit Sight is an epic fantasy novel in the series Last of the Gifted that was released in 2020 set in the medieval era in the heart of Wales in Britain. The author, Marie Powell, is a knowledgeable and passionate author, specialising in phonics books for children in early years and middle-grade. So the leap to Young Adult writing with such rich history is amazing, as she has done mountains of research for the story, surrounding how Wales might have been like at that time.

The author, Sebastien de Castell is a multi-talented writer with an astounding aptitude to be able to keep his readers enthralled, young and old. He published this novel in 2021.
